Palliative or End Of Life Care
Palliative or end of life care is the active holistic care of service users with an advanced progressive illness. The main goal of palliative care is to provide the best quality of life for both the patient and their family. Many of the aspects of our palliative care service are also applicable earlier in the course of the service user’s illness.
Our palliative care or end of life care aims to:
- Provide relief from pain and other distressing symptoms
- Integrate the psychological and spiritual aspects of care
- Offer a support system to help service users live as actively as possible.
- Offer a support system to help family cope during the service user’s illness and in their own bereavement.
Services offered across Burnley and Pendle including Barnoldswick, Colne, Earby, Nelson, Fence, Earby and Barrowford.
